Privacy Policy

PuchuKuchu is a private little world for two people, you and your partner. This page explains what the app collects, why, and who can see it. We keep as little as we can, and we never show your exact location or your private things to anyone but your paired partner.

Who this covers

This policy covers the PuchuKuchu mobile app. It is made for couples and is not directed at children. You need to be old enough in your country to agree to this kind of terms, which is 13 in most places. Please check your local law.

What we collect, and why

• Your email address and password. To create your account and sign you in. Your password is stored hashed by our sign-in provider, and we cannot read it.
• Your display name, emoji and profile photo. Shown to your partner inside the app.
• Messages, buzzes, reactions, daily notes and banter. They are the heart of the app, and only your partner sees them.
• Mood check-ins, streaks, countdowns and Love Vine progress. Shown to your partner.
• Photos, doodles and notes you add to your shared Constellation. Stored in a private space that only the two of you can open.
• Your device location, only if you turn on location sharing. We use it to work out the distance between you and your partner. Your partner only ever sees the distance, never your coordinates.
• A push notification token from your phone. To deliver notifications.
• Your subscription status. Handled through Google Play. We link it to your couple, not to your personal details.

Face ID or fingerprint, if you turn on the app lock, is handled by your phone. It never leaves your device and we never receive it.

Location sharing is off by default. Turning it off stops new location data from being collected.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. The app has no advertising or analytics tools in it. Your data goes to:

• Your paired partner, for the things listed above as shown to them, and only your partner. The app is built around exactly two people per couple.
• Supabase, which provides our database, sign-in, file storage and live updates. They store the data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, used only to deliver push notifications to your phone.
• Google Play and RevenueCat, which handle subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat receives your couple identifier and your purchase status so it can tell the app whether your plan is active.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.

How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active.

To delete your account and everything linked to it (messages, photos, notes, location, moods and profile), email kuchupuchu.support@gmail.com from the address on your account. We will confirm and finish within 30 days. You can also ask us to delete just part of your data, such as your location history.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for location sharing at any time. To use any of these, email kuchupuchu.support@gmail.com.

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Database rules mean that, in general, only you and your paired partner can read your couple’s data, and no other user can. No system is perfectly secure, but we build for privacy by default.

Children’s privacy

PuchuKuchu is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you think a child has made an account, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes and contact

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where required, tell you in the app.
